Welcome to Our Lady of the Rosary's Youth Faith Formation (YFF) Program. The staff and volunteers continue to pray that the Holy Spirit guide us in leading children and families closer to Jesus Christ. We are here to intentionally provide opportunities for youth and their families to develop a love of the teachings of God and equip them to grow in virtue and prayer and live out their mission as disciples for Christ. Through relational ministry at age-appropriate levels, we pray that hearts are opened to a love and yearning for Jesus Christ. This formation is not simply exposure to Our Lord, but an experience of God that has the potential to change one's life.
We are not just teaching the faith, but helping the youth apply it to their lives. Parents and guardians are encouraged to support faith formation ministry. We must work together as we all journey towards Christ. This includes making sure your student attends formation nights and Sunday Mass regularly. Attendance will be taken for all youth faith formation events and masses listed. We have an awesome community of mentors who love Jesus and love the youth. We are so blessed to provide opportunities where the youth can encounter Jesus Christ. Help us to do this with regular attendance. There will also be opportunities for parents to grow in faith. We pray that the faith formation experience youth and parents have at Our Lady of the Rosary is an opportunity to learn to live our mission as disciples for Christ.

Where are the classes held?

The children are to be dropped off in a drive-thru process under the canopy and are dismissed through the same process. Parents should line up from the baseball fields for drop off and pick up. Students who drive are asked to park in the church parking lot and use the crosswalks for safety.
When is registration?
REGISTRATION FOR 2024-2025 YOUTH FAITH FORMATION IS CLOSED. If you miss the deadline for this school year, please contact the parish office at 693-3433 or [email protected] for availability. General registration is accepted online or in person during the late spring and early summer. Registration is to be completed by July 31st so that we can fully prepare for the youth before we begin sessions in September. Please contact the Coordinator of Youth Formation at the parish office for consideration to register youth outside of general registration times. Late fees may apply.
What is the registration fee?
Families enrolled in the Youth Faith Formation ministry program are asked to help cover the costs associated with programs offered. Registration and sacramental preparation fees are for the program resources, materials, and supplies used for class sessions, special events, and parish retreats. The fee is $50 per child.
Families with multiple children in their household are offered a sliding rate -
$50 for the 1st child, $40 for the 2nd child, and $35 for each additional child.
Confirmation Candidates (11th grade) and First Communicants (2nd grade) will have an additional sacramental preparation fee of $25 per child. Please Note: Youth are never denied formation and growing closer to Jesus for the inability to pay fees. Payment plans can be made for larger families. Special arrangements can be made for families with financial difficulties. Contact the Coordinator for Youth Faith Formation to discuss arrangements. Sacramental Preparation Each and every time we celebrate one of the sacraments, we come face to face with the love, forgiveness, and compassion of God. We share in the command of Jesus to forgive one another as God forgives us. We share in that first fellowship meal of Jesus and His friends, and we witness our young people asking to ratify their Baptismal promise. It is so important that the YFF community and families work together to share the Catholic faith with our young Church. This immediate preparation should help create a bond between the young person and the faith community, bridge the gap between Catholic schools and the Parish YFF Program, and involve the parents and families in the sacramental preparation and celebration. Our Lady of the Rosary YFF provides this opportunity through retreats, special liturgies with family rites, service projects, and reconciliation.
